The Member's Stimulus Plan is back!

The Leesburg Area Chamber of Commerce will be launching a Membership Drive starting Monday, February 1, 2010, and ending at 4:00 pm on Friday, April 30, 2010.  All members that sold a membership will be recognized at the Contact Breakfast the following morning. Overachievers will be honored and decorated!

Any and every member that brings in a membership (or referral that the staff closes) will receive $50 off of their dues on their next membership renewal ($50 for each new membership of $250 or more).

Here's an example:

If you bring in 5 new members that pay a membership of $250 or more each, we will reduce your dues the following year by $250. You would only pay the difference of your dues over $250.

$250 or more for a new membership = $50 reduced from your current member dues.

$125 up to $250 for a new membership = $25 reduced from your current member dues.

OK, here comes some fine print.  Yes, staff will help you close memberships. You may drop off up to 25 names with the Chamber, and we will work to get their membership; however, if another company brings in a check from a name on your list before we call on them, the company that brings the check will receive all of the credit.  If more than one member gives us a referral list with the same referral company name on it, and they become a member, the credit will be split equally between all members involved. All employees of each company are considered just one member - the company they work for.

If a member brings in over 5 new members, the reduction for each additional membership over 5 will be applied to their following year's dues. Any member that brings in more than 13 new members will also receive 4 free tickets for each and every event the Chamber conducts through December 30, 2010, valued at over $1,300!  This includes, but is not limited to, the Installation Gala, 12 Contact Breakfasts, the Business Expo, a foursome at the Embarq Golf Classic, as well as all Quarterly Business Boutiques and Business Women's Council events.

Please note: Chamber staff will not be compensated for new memberships as a result of the Membership Drive, but will be compensated for net membership increases.
